Talent Caravan employed two production units to cover the country and present young Canadian performers. George Murray hosted the show, which originated in different locations, and viewers voted by mail for their favourites among the six contestants in each show in a talent competition that lasted through the television season. The show's musical director was Ricky Hyslop, who conducted the orchestra.
