Pasquale's Kitchen Express (Series) (1988-1992)
Pasquale's Kitchen Express was a fast-paced, fun half hour of cooking, singing (and eating!) that appealed to everyone. In each episode, Chef Pasquale Carpino showed the audience his own brand of haute cuisine as he philosophized and serenaded us with light opera while preparing a full course meal for four people, in record time.
Approximately 340 episodes of this series were produced. Producer Grant Patterson says: "The series was first produced for CHCH and it also aired in London, ATV, Calgary, Edmonton, and BC. The series was Discovery Channel's (US) number one daytime show from 89 to 92. It was directed by Henry Pasila. There was no writer as Pasquale himself could not be scripted. He was a unique individual. During the second day of the pilot shoot he would not go on until I had a priest come to bless the set. It took me nearly the whole day to find a priest who would take me seriously..."
Pasquale Carpino originally hosted a local cooking show in Toronto in the 70's.

I still have Chef Pasquale's recipe for pizza dough. And all this time I thought that it was on CFCF.
