Genesis StoryTime was actually a cable channel consisting of story-telling using computer graphics in order to bring children's storybooks alive. The programs were presented without sound so as to encourage reading aloud. Although being Canadian in origin, the cable channel was mainly distributed in the USA, due to bureaucracy from the CRTC.

Over 200 fifteen-minute episodes from Genesis StoryTime did air in Winnipeg though- on the public-access channel of Videon Cable.
