The show The Bananas was a trial series which, by all accounts, was a success. Unfortunately, there were not sufficient funds to allow for further development of the series and it was replaced two or three days in the week by The Banana Splits, an inferior but popular syndicated film show of cartoons, music, comedy and serials- enthusiastically sponsored by Kellogg.
