Kiddo the Clown (Series) (1960-1965)
Aka: Kiddo's Workshop; Kiddo!; The Kiddo ShowKiddo the Clown was your typical slap-shoe circus clown, making his first appearance his series on CHCT-TV in Calgary. His second series aired locally on CJAY-TV in Winnipeg from 1961 to 1962 as a Monday to Friday afternoon program with a "best of" airing on Sundays. By the time Kiddo left Winnipeg in June 1962, the show had 65% of the available audience. Kiddo moved to CFTO-TV in Toronto, airing locally there from 1962 to 1965.
In his program, Kiddo told stories, showed films and generally got into trouble.

As a child, I loved watching Kiddo. He represented a good person.
However, being laughted at by the Postie (voice only) when delivering mail addressed to the head of "Supper & Sweepers" I found sad and not funny as it was a put-down reaction in my opinion.
