I remember watching this show daily in grade two! Get your own space was a fun and sometimes dangerous manoeuvres; if you didn't watch your classmates as they swung their arms wildly helicopter style to 'get their own space'.

I too have been singing the theme song only to remember the first few words and humming or making up the rest! I would love to have access to this show!

For years I have been singing the theme song and trying to remember the line after "we live in a tree..." Can someone help?? Please??? This was the coolest show. Very fond memories...would love to see clips.

I have fond memories of watching Bixby. I remember a bit of the song "Bixby and me, we live in a tree...". I often use the line "Bixby says reeeeeeeelaaaax" but people just stare at me without comprehension for the most part. I'm thinking of making a t-shirt. Would love to be able to show my kids a clip.

Bixby was filmed in Halifax. I know, because I was on the show in 1978 or 1979. They had some contest for local school kids. We had to come up with crazy inventions and describe them on the show.
When we arrived on the set, a lifeless Bixby was draped across a chair. The CBC crew didn't acknowledge that it was probably not a great idea to allow children to see the star of their show in this condition.
Fortunately, when the segment went to air a few weeks later, Bixby appeared to have regained his life force.

I remember being very sad starting school because I was going to miss Bixby, but was happily surprised when the gym teacher used the show for the easy exercise routines. That sure helped me reeeelax at school!

I remember this show! I used to watch it in the early 80's on CBC on believe. Funny nostalgia.
