Day in the Life of Canada, A (Special) (1985)

On June 8, 1984, one hundred internationally-renowned photographers and eight CBC Television film crews travelled to hamlets, towns, cities, farms, ice floes and islands from the Atlantic to the Pacific. What resulted were two unique things, a television program and a book of the same name that has become the most successful picture book in Canadian publishing history. The crews followed the photographers as they captured one day in the life of Canada Many of the communities welcomed them like long lost children "A Day In The Life Of Canada" is a visual time capsule of 24 hours of Canadian life, fittingly telecast on Canada Day.
