I saw this series back in the 70's and was truly amazed. I still think of it and went to the CTV office to see if they have a DVD of the series. I believe CTV should put together a DVD of the series and market it. I think it would sell like hotcakes. I remember 3 episodes in particular. The 1st was with just the Oscar Peterson Trio. The second was with Joe Turner. He was sitting down, leaning on a cane and belting out the blues with the Trio behind and to his sides so they could look at each other. The third was with Count Basie as guest pianist. He and Oscar Peterson would work those pianos and trade off riffs to each other, building and building note structures. I was a young man and this was on at 11:30 PM on a Friday night. Rather than stay out, I would come home to watch this show. That is another testament to its greatness.
