Ray St. Germain, a Winnipeg Métis country music entertainer, hosted this half-hour of country and western entertainment that included bluegrass, Native and Métis music as well as standard country fare. Showcasing local, national and international talent, Ray St. Germain Country was taped at various locations throughout Manitoba. The show was renamed Big Sky Country in 1985 and shows started being taped in Saskatchewan as well.
