Dec 29, 1980 - "The Audition Show." Mr. Brett and his secretary Phyllis are conducting auditions for the W.G.B. while Mr. Budgell is holidaying in Burin. April and Margaret Elliott from Mount Pearl try out with the band and a mystery guest appears on stage for an audition. Even Dickie sneaks in there for a number.
Jan 5, 1981 - "Leap for the Limelight." On Leap For The Limelight, Mr. Budgell's version of a talent show, contestants including local singer Race Hanlon and our own, Ron Hynes, compete for a mystery trip to sunny Jamaica.
Jan 12, 1981 - The Best of W.G.B. (one hour special) A one-hour special featuring some of the best skits and songs of W.G.B. Hosted by Betty Brink and Marg Thistle.
Jan 4, 1982 - Season Debut.
Feb 22, 1982 - "The Battle of the Bands." The Grand Hall is invaded by a stream of bands- punk rock, rock & roll, country and hillbilly- to compete in Budgells newest scam..."The Battle of the Bands". Selections include: Turning Japanese, Ain't That a Shame, Canary in a Coal Mine.
Mar 1, 1982 - "Another World & Texas." The W.G.B. visits Another World & Texas. Special guest tonight is Valdy. Musical selections include: Television Girls
and Leavin' Ain't The Only Way To Go.
Mar 8, 1982 - "Dickie Goes To School." Mr. Budgell tries to account for his nephew's behaviour by reflecting on Dickie's school days. Selections: Spin Out, U.I.C. and My Old School.
Mar 15, 1982 - "The Drama Festival." Viewers are treated to some local culture as the Drama Festival moves into the "Grand Hall". Kelly Russell is special guest on tonight's show. Musical selections include: "Suzie" and "Right This Time."
Apr 19, 1982 - "Flashbacks." Flashbacks to high points of previous shows. Selections: Go For Love, At The Mall, Turning Japanese.
