Why Is It So?, from Vancouver, was a science series devoted to the exploits of a physicist and friend, Professor Julius Sumner Miller and co-host Robert Quintrell.

Professor Julius Sumner Miller was later featured on another series by the same title on ABC-TV in Australia, airing there from 1963 to 1986, as well as being featured on the Professor segments on Hilarious House of Frightenstein. All the while, the professor's makes use of his trademark phrase, "Why is it so?"
