Steve Bloomer was one of the reasons I went to school to become a wildlife biologist. In 1962 I was one of the weekly winners... Steve mentioned my name on television (Sault Ste Marie, Ontario)and said "Hi ya, Pete." I waited by the mail box for days waiting for my pocket microscope to arrive. Exploration of the outdoors began in earnest at that point in my life.
