Their Springtime of Life (Miniseries) (1972)

This series of 4 hour-long documentaries used footage from the National Film Board, the Imperial War Museum, German newsreels, the French Army, and other public and private sources to construct a history of the Canadian Army from the 1910s to the 1940s. The first part concerned the First World War, the second segment the period up to the Second World War, and the third and fourth parts World War II, concentrating first on the Sicilian and Italian campaigns and then on the invasion of France and liberation of northwest Europe.
