Purple Playhouse (Series) (1973)

Purple Playhouse was a CBC series of eight one-hour Victorian dramas, drawn from a large body of plays that were immensely popular in the 19th century. They were adapted for television by such writers as Mavor Moore, John Bethune, Rod Coneybeare, Herb Roland, Alan King, and William Lytle.
