Platform (Series) (1963-1967)

Platform was a political inquiry program, moderated by CTV newsman Ab Douglas. It placed representatives of the political parties (Conservatives, Liberals, NDP and Social Credit) in isolation booths, to answer questions posed by a panel of journalists.

Opportunity for open debate was provided as well, the result being a stimulating and informative show. After a nine-week hiatus caused by Canada's change of government in the spring of 1963, two changes took place on the show: only three parties were represented each week, with the minority Socred and NDP parties alternating and, viewers' questions were taped for presentation on the program.
