Origins: A History of Canada (Series) (1988)

TVO's Origins: A History of Canada, with 16 half-hour programs, traced the events that shaped this continent, beginning with the arrival of Canada's native inhabitants some 25,000 years ago and ending with the last spike driven into the transcontinental railway in 1885. The show used archival footage, computer graphics and historical reenactments to bring the subjects vividly to life. Each program was divided into single-concept segments, geared to appeal to Grade 7 students and up.
