Our hero and his sidekick in nation-saving derring-do as they battle against the forces of nature and evil to foil the nefarious scheme of Mayor Morgan. David Ferry is Ranger; Michael Myers is the Calgary Kid; Ken James is Mayor Morgan; Janet Laine-Green is Susan Canfield.
Jan 20, 1978 - "Another Kind of Music." A documentary film about the friendship of two children which takes place during Toronto's Caribana Carnival. Produced by Rebecca Yates and Glen Salzman of Fruits and Roots Productions.
Jan 27, 1978 - "Monsters and Other Scary Things." A documentary On Canada's famous and not so famous, past and present monsters including Sasquatch, the Ogopogo, Poneek, the Monster of Muskrat Lake and others. Appearing on the program Dr. Allan Emery of the Royal Ontario Museum; Sasquatch hunters Rene Dahinden and John Green; diver Bob Murray and Annie York, teller of old Indian legends. Also kids give their impressions of monsters.

Feb 17, 1978 - "Soap Box Derby." A documentary produced by the National Film Board of Canada. The annual Laval-des-Rapides (Que.) soap-box derby turns into a battle of the sexes: a group of girls schemes to enter the male-dominated contest.
Mar 10, 1978 - "Batboy." Pierre Taillefer, 15, a Montreal teenager, is hired as a batboy for the Montreal Expos. To Pierre, he's stepped into the big time. The Olympic Stadium never looked so large, but he finds it's not all glamor as his time is devoted to cleaning, polishing, shining — shoes, bats, helmets.
Mar 17, 1978 - "Arctic Doctor." This documentary is based on actual footage shot by a flying doctor, Joseph Moody, in Canada's North during the late 1940s. He covered this vast area by plane and dog team. Produced by Denis Hargrave.

Mar 31, 1978 - "The Freestylers." Greg and Pat Henry, aged 17 and 13, are the stars of a look at the increasingly popular art of freestyle skiing. With the support of their parents, the boys hope to make it to the Canadian Amateur Finals. The first step is to qualify for the Alberta Amateur Freestyle Team. Extensive training and a good deal of perseverance is required. Freestylers Greg and Pat are serious about coming ahead winners. Jack Emack is both producer and director for writer Gail Helfrick's script.
