Over the 1967 and 1968 seasons, the CBC produced 6 one-hour variety programs in the O'Keefe Centre, which featured foreign headliners and Canadian supporting acts.

The 13 February 1968 show departed from the concert performance format, and presented a book show, a musical version of Henry Fielding's Tom Jones, starring Robin Ward and Douglas Fairbanks, Jr.
