Memorandum on a Frozen Ark (Series) (1970)

In this series of 7 half-hour programs, the CBC examined museums in Canada, which had recently suffered a degree of neglect because the federal government had diverted funding from the National Museums of Canada Corporation to build the National Arts Centre. An introductory program examined the role of museum and the balance of its activities in public display and research. Subsequent shows took viewers to the nation's major museums: the National Gallery, the National Museum of Science and Technology, the National Museum of Natural Sciences, the Royal Ontario Museum, the Museum of Man, and the National War and Aviation Museums.
