King Whyte Show, The (Series) (1955-1962)

Veteran writer-sportsman, King Whyte, hosted this 15-minute program of film and interviews on outdoor sports, hunting, fishing, and boating following the Saturday night hockey games. Whyte died of a heart attack in 1962 when on a trip to Laurentide Park to prepare a film for the show. He was 51. At the time, the show was the second-oldest sponsored CBC-TV program.
