Irish Rovers, The (Series) (1971-1975)

Irish Rovers, The
The Irish Rovers show was an extension of their smash summer series. The program included musical performances by the band and their guests and comic sketches. Most programs included a segment in which the Rovers- particularly Will Millar, the band's leader, his brother George, and Ferguson, the group's mugging, comic foil- dressed in leprechaun costumes and were chromakeyed into a set that appeared oversized.Later in the show's run, the Rovers went on location to such places as Banff, and Ireland.

In the 1971-1972 season, the program was replaced once a month by Vancouver's "Music Hall," hosted by Jimmy Kennedy.

The rovers played the exhibition in Charlottetown .The first half hour, consisted of will millar telling some rambunctious kids if they didn't settle down, he was getting " a policeman" !
