Irish Rovers, The (Series) (1971-1975)
The Irish Rovers show was an extension of their smash summer series. The program included musical performances by the band and their guests and comic sketches. Most programs included a segment in which the Rovers- particularly Will Millar, the band's leader, his brother George, and Ferguson, the group's mugging, comic foil- dressed in leprechaun costumes and were chromakeyed into a set that appeared oversized.Later in the show's run, the Rovers went on location to such places as Banff, and Ireland.
In the 1971-1972 season, the program was replaced once a month by Vancouver's "Music Hall," hosted by Jimmy Kennedy.
