Season 1

Sep 12, 1974 - "Getting it All Together." An independent young English-speaking law student marries a beautiful young French girl in the coalition of two families and two cultures. The families of Peter and Marie-Louise are surprised with the news that the two have married.

Oct 17, 1974 - "Colette's Confession." When Colette suddenly starts going to confession every night, the family is afraid she's committed a mortal sin.

Oct 24, 1974 -"Please Pass The Bidet." Papa Hutchins is trying to impress an important French Canadian associate by learning French at Berlitz.

Oct 31, 1974 - "The Heirloom." Papa Hutchins' birthday gift to Peter sets off a family free-for-all.

Nov 7, 1974 - "Ths Swan Song." A routine physical check-up shows that Papa Hutchins' days are numbered.

Nov 14, 1974 - "In Cinema Veritas." A film crew moves in with Peter and Marie-Louise to do a documentary on their mixed marriage and everyone tries to act naturally.

Nov 21, 1974 - "The Matchmakers." Mama Sauve decides that Uncle Henri has been a sinful bachelor long enough and finds him a "respectable" widow to marry.

Nov 28, 1974 - "Two Up Front." When Marie-Louise is offered a job as a topless waitress, Peter's amused reacton makes her think her bust is too small.

Dec 5, 1974 - "Close Mouth Before Striking." Charles Hutchins tries to help Gaston by hiring his boss's construction company. When things start to go wrong, Gaston gets blamed by everyone.

Dec 19, 1974 - "Don de la Main." The show centres on Mr. Hutchins, who decides to have Christmas at his place for his son and the Sauve family. He is going all out to put on an authentic French-Canadian Reveillon - a unique Christmas celebration of the Quebeeois. The resulting touchy situation and the influence of Mr.Hutchins's niece, Kathy (played by Susan Roman), forms the story.

Jan 2, 1975 - "The Plot." Peter's pretty, young cousin Kathy causes Jean-Guy's attitudes towards the English to soften.

Jan 7, 1975 - "Cousins and Other Strangers." A 75-year-old hippie shows up at Peter and Marie-Louise's apartment claiming to be Papa Hutchins' black-sheep cousin.

Jan 14, 1975 - "Jean-Guy's Big Night." The family is going to a wedding, but Jean-Guy insists he can't go because of political reasons. Indeed, the political reason turns out to be very beautiful.

Jan 21, 1975 - "Mal De Tete, Ma Pet." Marie-Louise develops a chronic headache that can be cured by only one person — her old French boyfriend.

Jan 28, 1975 - "Welcome to the Club." Peter refuses to join Hutchins' club until he learns that it might be restricted to English only. Then he insists that the entire Sauve family become members with him.

Feb 4, 1975 - "Hutchins' Folly." Gaston ends up on Hutchins' doorstep after being quarantined from his house because Colette has the mumps.

Feb 11, 1975 - "Out of House, Out of Mind." A fire forces the Sauve's to flee from their home. Hutchins welcomes them with open arms - until he learns they'll be staying wfth him for two weeks.

Feb 18, 1975 - "Just Peter and Me." Peter and Marie-Louise are having a lot of arguments which they attribute to outside interference.

Feb 25, 1975 - "Haven For A Rogue." Gaston's philandering brother Uncle Henry hides out at Peter and Marie-Louise's apartment because of a threat from a jealous husband.

Mar 4, 1975 - "A Family Likeness." Gaston's girl-chasing old army buddy comes to visit and turns his charm on Therese.

Mar 11, 1975 - "Here Comes the Judge." Jean-Guy gets a traffic ticket and insists on fighting, it ... as an example of political oppression.

Mar 18, 1975 - "Kathy's Contacts." In order to improve her French, Peter's cousin Kathy moves in with a real French family - the Sauve's.

Season 2

Sep 11, 1975 - "Jean-Guy goes to College." A friendly discussion turns into a political argument which sends Jean-Guy packing.

Sep 18, 1975 - "A Grave Situation." Uncle Henri's belated wedding gift, a burial plot, enrages Hutchins who expects his son and daughter-in-law to be buried in the family vault.

Sep 25, 1975 - "The Breather." After a series of obscene phone calls, Marie-Louise decides to put an expert on the case- pornographic author, Uncle Marcel. Yvon Leroux guest stars.

Oct 2, 1975 - "May to December." Hutchins' thoughts turn to romance when he meets an attractive young friend of Peter and Marie-Lousie.

Oct 9, 1975 - "The Househusband." When Peter becomes frustrated with law school, Marie-Louise persuades him to stay home for a few days to unwind. Jeannette Casenave guest stars.

Oct 16, 1975 - "Do No Pass Go." The unlikely combination of old friends, bridge, monopoly and nude therapy, invades Peter and Marie-Louise's apartment.

Oct 23, 1975 - "A Boss for All Seasons." When Gaston tells his boss he's been in an accident so he can apply for another job, all goes well until the concerned employer pays a visit to see how Gaston is feeling.

Oct 30, 1975 - "The Stakeout." The R.C.M.P. invade Peter and Marie-Louise's apartment to use their bathroom as a stakeout to observe a suspected dopering.

Nov 6, 1975 - "We'll Just Have To Keep Getting Married Until We Get It Right." As a gift for Sauve's wedding anniversary, Peter and Marie-Louise decide they will be married again - this time in a church.

Nov 13, 1975 - "Boom-Boom Boomerang." Hockey great Boom-Boom Geoffrion urges Gaston to join him in a hockey game with several former top stars.

Nov 20, 1975 - "The Visit." When old Aunt Mathilde, a fierce separatist, visits the Sauve's, Peter pretends to be French.

Nov 27, 1975 - "The Unexpectant Father." An unexpected visitor from Liverpool shows up in Montreal with proof that he is the illegitimate son of Charles Hutchins.

Dec 4, 1975 - "The Nightmare." Hutchins dreams he has lost all his money and that Gaston has won the National Lottery.

Dec 11, 1975 - "Hutchins' Retreat." Hutchins decides to marry again, this time to his first love whom he hasn't seen for 25 years.

Dec 18, 1975 - "The Red Hot Salesman." When an inept encyclopedia salesman hits the Sauve home, the family cannot resist getting involved in helping with his non-existent career.

Jan 8, 1976 - "Dog's Best Friend." In an effort to be popular, Hutchins ruins a party which he attends with Peter and Marie-Louise, and the evening is further destroyed when Peter tells his father off in a heated argument.

Jan 15, 1976 - "Fifty Dollars a Night." A friend asks Peter to help him out by filling in for him at his part-time job... at a male escort service.

Jan 22, 1976 - "Mr. Clean." When Hutchins is appointed to a Canadian Film Censorship Board, he turns to Uncle Marcel, the family pornographer, for technical advice.

Jan 29, 1976 - "A Time For Therese." When her close friend suddently dies, Therese makes a drastic change in her conservative life style.

Feb 26, 1976 - "For A Good Cause." When Gaston is asked to organize his church's fundraising night, Hutchins volunteers not only to work for Gaston, but also to teach him how to be a good boss.

Mar 4, 1976 - "The Petrified Family." Peter and Marie-Louise return to their apartment one evening with Gaston to find it being burglared - by a priest.

Mar 11, 1976 - "Anniversary Blues." In this flashback episode, we are given three different versions of Peter and Marie-Louise's first romantic encounter.

Mar 18, 1976 - "Wherefore Art Thou Hutchins?" When Hutchins is up for the part of Romeo in a charity production, Gaston helps him rehearse, but relations between the Hutchins and Sauves grow remarkably similar to those of Shakespeare's classic feuding families
