Elements of Survival was a trilogy of film documentaries broadcast on the CBC-TV network. The full-hour documentaries were filmed by Vic Sarin under the supervision of producer-writer Doug Lower in Brazil, Kenya, Egypt, Italy, the United Kingdom, the Soviet Union, the United States and Canada. The series, coincided with UN-sponsored World Population Year, marking an attempt to focus public attention on issues affecting the survival of civilization.
