The first three from Toronto starred David Clayton Thomas, former lead singer and composer of the jazz-rock group Blood Sweat and Tears.
The David Clayton-Thomas Show was followed in the summer series by "Inside Canada" from Winnipeg, "The Judy and Jim Show" from Vancouver and "Gary Karr and His Friends" from Halifax.
