Charlie Grant's War (TV Movie) (1985)

Charlie Grant's War
Charlie Grant's War was the real-life story of a heroic Canadian and a black era in Canadian history. R.H. Thomson starred as Charlie Grant, a diamond broker whose outrage at the plight of Jews under Nazi rule—and at Canada's own half-hearted assistance to the refugees- led him to use his position to spirit more than 600 Jews out of the city. Grant's heroism brought little reward—only the wrath of his Nazi foes and a taste of the cruelty of concentration camp life.
