This sequel to "12 1/2 cents" which ended with the murder of two children by their mother, Vicky, begins in a mental institution. The story is about her discharge and her attempts to adjust to living alone. Julia Amato plays a therapist. "Vicky" is a sequel to 12 1/2 Cents, a film drama by the same writer seen on CBC-TV several seasons ago. Oct 21, 1973 - "A Bird In the House." By Margaret Laurence and starring Paul Harding and Louise Vallence. In a small town on the Canadian Prairies in the 1930s a family's life is changed forever when the hired girl says a bird which has flown into the house is an omen and someone in the house will die. In an attempt to escape from her sequestered existence, Marion Hammond (Anderson) becomes involved In an ill-fated affair with Hal Warren (Tait), Nov 4, 1973 - "Welcome Stranger." Written by Kaino Thomas and starring Horst Bucholz as a Swiss surgeon who immigrates to Canada. His attempts to save the life of an accident victim fails. Because he has no licence to practice in Canada, he is in serious trouble. Also with Henry Beckman, Cec Linder and Dominic Hogan. Nov 25, 1973 - "The Changling." By Tony Sheer. Neil Munroe stars as a shy introverted boy who finally turns to crime as the only way of "getting even" with the world. Dec 2, 1973 - "Lighten My Darkness." By Charles Israel and starring Diana Leblanc, Robert Werner and Michael Reynolds. Difficulties result when a young wife, blind since birth, regains her sight through an operation. |
