Canadian Establishment, The (Miniseries) (1980)

A seven part series of one hour documentaries based on Peter C. Newman's best-selling 1975 account of industrial and commerical wealth in Canada.

The series, budgeted at one million dollars, was one of the CBC's most expensive projects to date. By following the principal figures of the Canadian corporate elite, and permitting them candid, extensive talking head interviews, the series offered an approving view of the most influential figures in the country's private sector.
